12 Months between Tadpoles
Hi there!
Just a quick post and update today. Almost exactly a year ago, I took at image of IC410, AKA, The Tadpole nebula. Truth be told, it wasn't until I looked back on last year blog posts that I realised I'd also imaged it only 12 months ago.
Anyhow, I've given it another go with a new set of data, but using the same equipment and filter. This time, I think I have done a better job with the data, bringing out much more nebulosity (HA) around the target than what I did before. To be critical though, I seem to be plagued by bloating or over exposure of the brightest stars around the nebula and I'm finding it tricky to process the image, bring out all the detail but without blowing out these stars. I expect that there is some snazzy trick using masks or Starnet2 in Pixinsight that I need to discover and learn about.
Anyway, here's my latest attempt at IC410. Enjoy 😉.
